A lovely hotel for a quick getaway from London with lots of activities for children over the Easter break. We enjoyed the petting zoo and the Easter Sunday party. A few things which make this a 4 star experience: 1. Pools don't open until 10 am. For a hotel whose key clientele appears to be family with young children, it would be nice to have the pool open earlier. 2. The pools aren't maintained to a 5 star level of cleanliness. Even the indoor pool has bits of foam and hair in the pool. There are some foam toys by the indoor pool, but these aren't maintained or checked regularly. There was a broken water gun (inside pool) throughout our stay of 4 days which showed that no one was checking the area. 3. The changing area for the pool is very small and always wet (ie no regular cleaning). It would be nicer to have a bigger changing area given that the pools require walking across the outside garden area. 4. Golf carts aren't easily available. We asked on one occasion and were told it was a 15 min wait. 5. One three occasions (in a span of 24 hours), we had various members of staff walk into our room with our permission. First, it was a manager with guests (having mixed up room numbers). Second, housekeeping came to clear a table (again having mixed up room numbers). Third, the cleaner was in our room despite us having left a do not disturb sign outside (which she casually ignored and lied about). We brought us to the attention of the reception, but no substantive action was taken as the housekeeping team walked into our room again on the last day (once again having ignored the do not disturb sign). 6. The bath area is poorly designed. It is a very deep bath with a shower over head. There is no support bar that one can use to get in and out of the shower in the bath. For a luxury hotel, I was expecting a stand alone shower, not having to climb in and out of a poorly designed shower over the bath. 7. There is no towel warmer in the bathroom.

Our weekend here was nothing short of exceptional. We felt so welcomed by Christina at reception as soon as we arrived, who gave us all the info we needed and even took us to our room. The room was so comfortable (especially after an upgrade, thank you!), and there was a special birthday treat for my partner. Breakfast was the best I've had at any hotel, the range of options was amazing and the French toast was a highlight. We had a lovely chat with Vera who was so attentive at breakfast too. Our massages and the spa as a whole were a definite highlight. Mia really took the time to ask what I needed and made me feel so comfortable. The grounds are gorgeous and a perfect setting for the whole place, it didn't feel like we were only a short distance from London. The food at Madhu's and Skewd was perfect, such good quality and we were so impressed by the service. Soad at reception was also amazing and very thoughtful after a small mishap at checkout. Yes, the price point is high but everything at The Grove was incredibly slick, well-organised and luxurious - which was exactly what we wanted.

So much to love here! Surroundings/Location was amazing. Room (deluxe king) was so lovely, comfortable and really clean! Check in and out was really easy, quick and efficient. Spa facilities were OK, nothing necessarily to shout about, but they were nice. Food was amazing! We dined in the Glasshouse where they have their buffet. Not an ordinary buffet, it's around £80, but the choice is incredible, the quality was 10/10, flavours etc, just amazing. Staff were super attentive. Definitely didn't get £80's worth, but only because I was so full. But it was nice to be able to eat one plate of curry, then pasta then a roast! Great selection. Breakfast was also a buffet and with a great selection once again. Unlike a lot of buffets, it was actually very clean and replenished constantly. We booked as it was our 10 year anniversary, the hotel had some anniversary chocolates waiting in our room which was a lovely touch! Overall, amazing stay, just looking at the diary to try and book 2 nights this time!

I stayed here mainly for convenience because it’s located just ten minutes from the Warner Bros. Studio Tour where they shot all the Harry Potter movies. While the resort has some impressive amenities, I did encounter a few setbacks. Upon arrival I waited a little over twenty minutes for my room to be ready. The front desk staff seemed a bit formal and less welcoming than I expected. This was despite numerous texts and calls letting them know exactly when I would be arriving. The fitness center was also challenging – hard to find, with a lengthy walk and a somewhat cumbersome entry process, which limited my motivation to return after one visit. Breakfast at “The Glass House” was a standout, with an extensive buffet, offering nearly anything you could want. However, the bustling atmosphere with businesspeople gave it more of a city “power breakfast” feel than a relaxed resort vibe. All in all, The Grove has a lot to offer, but some of the difficulties tempered my overall experience.

Our stay at the Grove truly exceeded expectations. The location is stunning, and the amenities and programming (especially for children) were wonderful. The staff was welcoming and kind, and I’d like to especially appreciate Soad, who went above and beyond to ensure my birthday was well celebrated. Our daughter (nearly 5) had so much fun for the amazing activities over Easter weekend, as well as playing in the kids pool and driving the mini Landies. She also loved her afternoon at Anushka’s, which was a real treat for my husband and I to have some kid-free time together, knowing our daughter was having fun in good hands. We were sad to leave and would love to come back again someday.
